Christian Dam is from Denmark and began sailing and climbing masts at the age of six. He has been working in the sailboat rigging industry in Miami since 1992. The family name Dam, pronounced like "Daam" in Danish, has raised quite a few eyebrows here in the states, as one might imagine, but what we really do is raise sails! Dam Rigging has had the opportunity to rig such prestigious vessels as the "Stars and Stripes", catamaran of the Americas Cup and the 150 ft. "FLEURTJE" stay sail schoner, and hundreds of other sailboats in South Florida. Dam Rigging Inc. has also worked on art installations and rigging for movie sets.
